About Me

I fell in love with sewing and fabrics early in life. Growing up in Northern Vermont I learned embroidery from one grandmother while making patterns and sewing with my other grandmother. In college, as an Environmental Science major, I spent one entire Christmas break creating reusable cloth gift bags to use after watching garbage bag after garbage bag of wrapping paper being thrown away. But it wasn’t until I had children that I really began the process of discovering and creating Seamingly Sarah. As I created for my family and friends, I realized I wanted to create the same loving products for others as well. Thus Seamingly Sarah was born.

Today I focus on designing and creating children’s dress up and costumes that spark a child’s imagination and can endure their play. I find a simple crown and cape can do wonders to excite a child into a world of imaginary play for hours at end. I also frequently accept the challenge of custom requests. You can see a sample of my work in the slide show below. Please feel free to contact me about your own request and I would be glad to work with you.
